Our primary task is to care for your trees and respect the environment
In order to properly prune a tree, it is important to have a proper understanding of how the tree will respond to each cut in the future. This requires a knowledge of the anatomy of trees, as well as an understanding of their growth patterns and the impact they have on their surroundings. By carefully controlling the height and volume of a tree, we can ensure that it continues to thrive and grow.
Felling dangerous trees
If a tree is at the end of its life or has become too large for its environment it might be time to remove it. Dying trees located in natural areas that do not pose a danger to property or people can be allowed to die in place without human intervention. However, trees near or leaning over houses or buildings might need careful dismantling in sections, using ropes and pulleys. The branches can be chipped and removed along with the trunks from the site. We can safely handle the largest trees in the most difficult to access spaces.
Wild gardens, tall hedges
If your garden has become overgrown with brambles, we can help restore it to a more manageable state. While wild gardens may be overrun with plants, shrubs and trees, with the right care and attention, they can become a beautiful and relaxing space that is easy to maintain. We also get called in to deal with huge wild hedges that are often impossibly tall, reducing them down to a manageable size, so that you or your gardener can take over the their care. It is always rewarding to see how a garden can thrive with careful selection and nurturing.
Forest management
There are various approaches to managing a forest or wooded area, depending on the desired outcome and the characteristics of the forest, such as the age and type of trees and undergrowth present. The work can include removing dead or hazardous trees, clearing brambles, thinning out or felling for timber, giving younger ones more space to grow, or even removing the taller trees to create views into and beyond the forest. We ensure that forests are able to support a diverse array of plant and animal life, while being a place you can enjoy and relax in and around.
